COVID-19 Update:

We understand that travel plays an important role in our lives and that COVID-19 has affected how we make travel decisions. This challenge requires all of us to shift how we do business and live our day-to-day lives. We have made the following adjustments to our standard policies:

As of May 27, 2021, we are able to host guests from across the United States without any quarantine or testing requirements, subject to the Maine CDC travel ban list. 

Self check-in information will be provided for all our guests to help reduce staff exposure through social distancing.

The State of Maine currently requires all guests who are NOT vaccinated to wear face coverings while inside common areas of the building at all times, with the exception of dining while seated.

We ask that all guests be mindful of social distancing between other guests and staff members.
Maine no longer has capacity limits for dining areas; however, we've decided to continue asking what time guests would prefer to have breakfast to help with cleaning and sanitation of the dining room. 

As announced in January of 2021, for reservations with stays after May 27, 2021, we have reverted to our normal one-night deposit and two-week cancellation policies as outlined below.

We will continue to reevaluate our policies as the City and State update their mandates.

Reservations:

For reservations made directly on our website or via phone, a first-night deposit plus lodging tax is required to secure your reservation and will be charged to the credit card provided, or mailed via check. If booking your reservation less than 14 days before your arrival, the entire reservation amount will be charged to your credit card.

The remainder of your balance is due at check-in and can be paid by cash, check or credit card. Your reservation is not confirmed until your deposit has been successfully processed. An automatic confirmation will be sent by our reservation system to the email you provide. Guests electing self-check-in or arriving outside of the normal check-in hours will have the remaining balance charged the day the self-check-in information is provided.

Reservations made through third-party websites such as Booking.com, Expedia, HotelTonight, and Airbnb will be charged a 100% deposit at the time of booking.

Friday & Saturday nights must be booked together. There are no check-ins or check-outs on Saturdays.

Holiday or special event weekends may include additional night requirements.

Cancellations:

If cancellations are made over 14 days before the day of arrival, your deposit will be returned save for a $25 administrative fee per room.

The full deposit will be forfeited for Cancellations made under 14 days before arrival date.

As a small business with a few rooms, each cancelation takes a large tole on our business.

The full balance of your stay will be charged 7 days prior to your arrival date. Any cancellations within 7 days forfeit the balance of the entire stay.

No Shows:

Not showing up for your reservation without any cancelation will result in being charged in full.

Additional Guests and Pets:

Pets:

We offer some pet friendly rooms, at an additional cost per night. We also have an inn cat and dog, while they are never allowed in guest rooms, those with severe cat or pet allergies may not be the most comfortable staying here. And whilst we would love to host you, your comfort is of upmost importance to us! The inn animals are normally outdoors or in our private living quarters, but may occasionally be in a common area. With prior notice, we can do our best to restrict them from entering public space. We highly value the comfort of our guests, therefore if you have very strong allergies, despite our daily cleaning, this might not be the most comfortable environment. Please feel free to contact us to discuss further.

Well behaved and fully trained dogs are welcome at a fee of $65 extra per night with prior notice. As we have our own dog on property and other guest we expect you to only bring an animal who is socialized. Additionally we do not allow dogs to be left in the room unattended under any circumstances due to the fact there are other guests. We have dog towels available and we expect you to take full responsibility for making sure your pets paws are clean upon entry into the premises. With prior notice we have time to prepare the pet ready room and our staff to deep clean the room after the fact. If prior notice is not given there will be an additional charge of $25 on top of the $65 charge due to the fact the room and our staff was not able to prepare the room. If there are any damages or stains due to the dog additional charges will be applied depending on the severity.

Extra guests & children:

Some rooms accommodate an extra guest via a pull out bed or a roll-away. Each additional member over the age of 16 will be $50, children under 10 are $35, Children under 2 are free. All guest names must be listed on the reservation for your safety in the event of an emergency. The additional fee includes gourmet cooked to order breakfast, fresh bed linens, and extra towels.

Check-In & Check-Out:

Check-ins are scheduled from 3pm to 6pm. 

We can accommodate late check ins but please let us know of your approximate arrival. 

Check-out is anytime before 11am.

Late check-outs are not always possible, and must be arranged in advance with the Innkeeper to assure there is ample time to prepare the room for guests arriving later that day.

Alcohol:

We now have a liquor license, which allows us to serve beer, wine, cider and cocktails. We take pride in our rotating menu of offerings are are excited to share them with you! Because of this licensing, you are allowed to bring your own beer or wine but only permitted to enjoy it in your room. In the common rooms, the bar, the barn, and the vast area of outdoor areas, you may enjoy any of the options that we offer for sale. We will provide glassware, and the bar will be full service during established opening hours.

Other Policies:

Your room rate includes a full breakfast served each morning between 8:00 am and 9:00am, use of the spacious indoor and outdoor common areas, free high-speed internet access, off-street parking. Alcohol and snacks are available for purchase. Dinner Reservations must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance, or one week in advance for parties of 6 or more.  Visit our website for all included in-room and house amenities.  

The Waterford Inne is a NON-SMOKING & NON-VAPING property. For the health and safety of our guests, smoking and vaping is not permitted anywhere on the premises, and a minimum $250 cleaning fee is imposed for smoking and vaping inside the house. We do have a designated smoking area. Your complete cooperation is expected.
